Surya Yoga Classes Description

We offer different types of classes ranging from foundation to advance.
The details of our classes are as listed below:-


Basic Yoga (Foundation Course)   
New learners or those seeking to refresh their yoga moves are given step-by-step guidance on the fundamentals of yoga in this 10-week basic course. Learners are encouraged to work within their limitations and explore their range of movement.
Yoga I (Beginner/Intermediate)                    
For learners with yoga fundamentals, the next step is to continuously practice and develop their flow. This slow flowing class restores internal balance with its peaceful, meditative, and stress releasing approach. Among the techniques taught and practiced in this class are longer holds within asanas(poses) and letting go of accumulated tensions.
Yoga II (Intermediate/Advance)   
Intermediate practitioners will find this challenging flow class ideal to further develop thier flow and technique. A balance of activity and receptivity, effort and surrender, this class integrates energizing standing poses with relaxing floor and meditative flow work.


                  
Yogalates
A combination of yoga and pilates, this methodology works to strengthen the core muscles, lengthen the spine, build muscle tone, and increase awarenessand flexibility. Probes like gym balls, bands, straps, and blocks are used to give better results.
Yogarobics
A combinaiton of cardio-intensive aerobics and yoga stretches, this invigorating 20-minutes class is specially crafted for learners looking to work up a good sweat, stretch their muscles, and ultimately increase their flexibility.
Power Yoga                     
Intermediate yoga practitioners looking for a vigorous workout to complement their usual flow will find this class ideal for their needs. Learners are taught contemporary combinations grounded in the fundamentals of Ashtanga breath practice, Bandas(lock), and Asana.

Pre-Natal Yoga
Mothers-to-be will be delighted to know this class is tailored to cater to their physiological and psychological needs for a beautiful birthing experience. A combination of physical workouts and breathing and meditation techniques are taught to help the expectant mum manage her pregnancy and enhance her connection with her baby.

Yoga Kids
Children aged 4 to 11 years old will have a ball in these yoga classes! The classes incorporate yoga poses and breathing methods in a fun way, ultimately helping them to positively manage their emotions and stresses.


Workshops/Retreats
Surya Yoga also hosts visiting instructors who conduct workshops or retreats. The Workshops typically cover a diverse range - beginners or serious practitioners and teachers of yoga will find a workshop that best suits their needs.
